Al-Nu’man ibn Bashir reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said,

The parable of the believers in their affection, mercy, and compassion for each other is that of a body.

When any limb aches, the whole body reacts with sleeplessness and fever.

1Eid: A Movement of Unity, Faith, and Global Impact

Since 2007, 1Eid has grown from a local community initiative into a global movement dedicated to reviving the true spirit of Eid: unity, joy, and compassion. What began as a small effort to bring people together has flourished into a beacon of social inclusion and community cohesion across the UK and beyond.

Our dawah, our call to faith and togetherness, has inspired thousands to experience the beauty of Islam through celebration, understanding, and service. From city parks to global campaigns, 1Eid has built bridges between hearts, promoting peace and belonging through the shared joy of Eid.

But our mission has never stopped at celebration alone. Through our growing platform, we have used the power of community to raise awareness and take action for those most in need, ensuring that Eid is not only a day of happiness but a reminder of humanity’s shared responsibility.

Our donors and volunteers have helped provide food, water, shelter, education, and healthcare to families struggling around the world while also preserving the human need for joy, hope, and dignity. For us, it has never made sense to send gifts to children while their families suffer hunger or homelessness. True Eid means uplifting the entire household, not just the moment.

Since 2019, 1Eid’s growth has accelerated with incredible momentum. Our vision has expanded beyond borders, from our deeply rooted work in the UK to projects supporting vulnerable communities abroad. This is the essence of our faith: to serve locally and globally, and to want for others what we would want for ourselves.

As we continue to grow internationally, 1Eid stands as a symbol of hope, a movement of peace, unity, and love that transcends race, culture, and geography. Every festival, every project, and every act of giving brings us closer to our vision: a world where every person can feel the warmth, belonging, and spiritual joy that Eid represents.

1Eid is more than an event. It is a legacy of unity, a dawah of joy, and a global call to compassion.

Using our platform, we have managed to support the following projects:

1Eid Africa – Water Wells ( Uganda )

1Eid Africa – Food Pack ( Sierra Leone )

1Eid Africa – Masjid Projects ( Uganda)

1Eid Africa – Quran Distribution ( Uganda)

1Eid Syria – Food Pack Project

1Eid Syria – Bread Project

1Eid Syria – Tent Project

1Eid Syria  – Prayer

1Eid Pakistan – Water Wells

1Eid Morocco – Eid Festival

1Eid Morocco – Food Distribution

2020 saw the country crippled with the arrival of the Covid 19. Unfortunately all our community events were cancelled. 1Eid wanted to still continue to support the community during this testing time.

1 Eid Food Drive

We would like to thank our fantastic team of volunteers for putting together these 1Eid food packs for vulnerable families struggling during the Pandemic.

Eid is a special time of year and we didn’t want families to miss out on the strains of the Pandemic on this special day.

Our teams in East London and Luton took it upon themselves to arrange Food gift boxes full of delicious treats such as fresh fruits, cakes, nuts, and sweets.

These food packs were distributed in partnership with Chapters food bank and Luton food bank to 200 families shared with Muslim and non-Muslim families to spread a smile at Eid and a part of our dawah initiative.

We were overwhelmed with the support from businesses and local bakers who donated

Feeding Our NHS Staff

Our gratitude and support go out to all the NHS staff members who are risking their lives to save lives. When the Pandemic hit medical staff was working around the clock. The blessed month of Ramadan meant many of our Muslim NHS staff were also struggling to have the time to make suhoor and iftar.

As a gesture to show our love and appreciation 1Eid arranged food during Ramadan to help support staff (Muslim and non-Muslim) to ensure they were receiving a hot meal.

A special thanks to our delivery partners Serving Humanity who arranged the delivery to the staff.

Current Projects running all year round

🌍 The Watan Project

1Eid’s Watan Project supports Afghanistan’s recovery by building schools and orphanages, providing widows with food and essentials, and supplying medical aid to families in need. Our mission is to restore hope, education, and dignity to those affected by war and help rebuild a brighter future for Afghanistan.

🕊️ Peace Within

Peace Within offers counselling and Islamic self-development to help individuals heal emotionally, strengthen relationships, and find inner peace. By combining modern psychology with faith-based principles, we empower people to overcome trauma, live with purpose, and bring balance and harmony into their homes and communities.

Peace Within also holds community engagement events and workshops to help spread education on mental health, parenting, and supporting children with their well-being.

🤝 1Eid Community Support

Beyond celebration, 1Eid supports local families with food, essentials, and financial relief throughout the year. Through community care, Ramadan and Eid aid, we bring hope and dignity to those struggling, turning the joy of Eid into lasting compassion and unity within our neighbourhoods.

🕌 Interfaith Workshops

1Eid’s Interfaith Workshops bring people of all backgrounds together to share, learn, and connect through dialogue and understanding. By fostering mutual respect and breaking down misconceptions, we build lasting bridges between communities and celebrate the shared values of peace, compassion, and humanity that unite us all

Anas ibn Malik reported: The Prophet, peace, and blessings be upon him, said,

None of you will have faith until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself.”

In another narration, the Prophet said,

Until he loves for his neighbour what he loves for himself.
